How to get a foal in Conan Exiles? ›

Foals are usually found near bodies of water SPECIFICALLY around grassy areas. You can often find some in areas like the highlands with lakes and stuff.

A hom*ozygous black horse will thus always pass on black – and when bred to a bay, for example, always produces a black or bay horse. However, if the black parent and the bay parent are both heterozygous for black (they both also carry one red gene), they can produce a sorrel/chestnut (red) foal.

Notably, "sprint" swimming does not drain endurance, and since mounts are slow swimmers, it is advisable to always sprint while swimming mounted. Horses get 600 endurance and rhinos get 800. This can be increased by an additional 100 by acquiring the Sigil of the Wolf-brothers on the Isle of Siptah.

So, for a foal, a classic animal pen is not suitable, you need to build a stable to let it grow up sheltered. A stable requires the following resources to build: 15x Brick, 10x Shaped Wood and 10x Twine.

The player can have both a horse and another follower at the same time. There is currently no difference between the type of foal captured (regular, sturdy, or swift) and the type of horse produced. All foals display the same Dunn color pattern, this is not indicative of the mature color.

In Age of Conan you will be able to acquire mounts such as a horse, a rhino or a mammoth. You need to reach level 40 to get one. Mounts will be a central part of the combat system, it`s not only a way to get fast from one place to another.

Conan Exiles mod to enable breeding. User will first have to "check" if their adult pet is a "mama" this is "handcrafted". The user will then place an adult pet, Mama Pet and 20 Sacred Blood into any animal pen to enable breeding.

It is important to remember that a Greying horse MUST have one Greying parent – the G allele is a dominant and CANNOT be hidden. So two non-grey horses cannot produce a Greying foal no matter how many Greys there are in the pedigree !!
