Mr. Lowery was born in South Boston, VA on May 27, 1940, and was the son of the late Sherman and Virginia Sue Pool Lowery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Grubb, and by brothers, James "Jim" Lowery and Wayne "Cotton" Lowery. Known by many of his friends as "Pigtail," he had a long career as a water treatment inspector having retired from CH2M Hill Company. She was born October 28, 1936 in Halifax, VA and was the daughter of the late Maynard Earle Dunn and Effie Henry Mayhew Dunn. Mrs. Hutcherson was retired from the Palmetto Bank and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Laurens.
