Today and every day, I choose to greet the day with a positive attitude and with a grateful heart! The following are beautiful affirmations that students can start the day!! Also, adults can say them too!Watching students sing the morning affirmations on their way to carpet for their morning meeting is powerful!!Some of the affirmations are:I have purpose.I am here for a reason.I am unique.I am worthy of your patience.I have integrity.I am improving every single day!!I can learn anything!!I LOVE to learn!!!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Affirmations help you deal with negative feelings, thoughts and situations. What you ultimately do in life comes out of who you believe you are.You have to practice believing in yourself and ignoring the naysayers. Because while you may not be able to control the impolite and unfair things some people say and do, you can decide not to be endlessly derailed by them.#experienceclarity #selfdiscovery #transformation #betterlife #selfawareness

"Today, I had a hard time doing my emotions""That's okay; we're learning"-----------------------------👏 SO many skills to be learned from this heartfelt bedtime conversation! This little guy clearly had a rough day (and let's face it, mom probably did too!), and mom was there to talk it out with him, demonstrating A+ use of age-appropriate emotion language, modeling, reflective listening, firm boundaries, validation, and - most importantly - unconditional love.1️⃣ Emotion Talk: This family clearly does an exceptional job at encouraging the child to express his emotions. Instead of stifling feelings, mom helps him put a name to what he's going through. Even better, she empathizes with him, demonstrating that even adults struggle with managing their emotions. This teaches kids that their feelings are valid and gives them the language to express themselves better. It also teaches our kids empathy.2️⃣ Reflective Listening and Validation: Mom listens intently and reflects back what her son is saying, showing that she truly understands his feelings. This creates a safe space for the child to open up even more, building trust, security, and confidence.3️⃣ Behavioral Modeling: Props to the dad too, for presumably modeling the use of the son's skillful advice of coping skills ("Today, papa was mad so I told him to stop, breathe slow, and make a good choice for papa")! Modeling can be an incredibly potent tool in shaping a child’s emotional landscape.4️⃣ Emotional Security and Understanding: Despite clearly having struggled with her son's behaviors that day (it happens!), mom provides a nurturing, supportive environment as she tells her son "It's okay - we're learning" and assures him that she loves him unconditionally, even on hard days.Kudos to this family for creating a nurturing emotional environment. Not every interaction will be perfect, and (as the boy aptly points out) we ALL will struggle with keeping our cool at times. However, the more we model healthy communication and coping strategies, the easier these conversations become. These skills will undoubtedly serve this young man well in his future. 👏👏#ParentingGoals#ReflectiveListening#emotionalintelligence#behaviormanagement #mentalhealth

Do you treat yourself the way you treat other people?Often for big-hearted, highly sensitive and empathic people, the answer is no. We’re often very hard on ourselves, constantly pushing some form of perfectionism on ourselves and practicing very little grace. It’s something I’m coming into greater awareness of. And that’s key, because we don’t know what we don’t see (or not aware of). Awareness is the eyes that see and ears that hear, as the great teachers said.Today, my friends, I encourage you to extend grace, compassion, and encouragement to everyone in your life. And be first with yourself. Because YOU deserve the life from your big heart more than anyone else. And watch how this deepens and strengthens your relationships with others by proxy.#personalgrowth #selfconcept #vitamindgrant #highlysensitiveperson

Knowing what you stand against, what you won’t tolerate for yourself or for others is paramount to living a purposeful life. What do you stand against?I stand against:💃 Blind obedience – my Ace of Clubs birth card energy requires a reason and purpose for everything I do. Much to my mom’s disgust, I’ve never been one to obey blindly. She grew tired of me constantly asking “why”, and then “why that way” when she told me the process I had to follow to fulfil the task she’d set me. 💃 ‘Shoulds’ – ‘shoulds’ are expectations we place on ourselves or accept from others. ‘Shoulds’ bring guilt and shame if you don’t do what others say you ‘should’ do. Truth is it’s up to you to motivate yourself aligned with your values and beliefs – and ‘shoulds’ have no place in that; rather ‘shoulds’ are external pressures to make you do something. 💃 Living life by default – going through the motions of living the same year after year. Being unwilling to decide courageously, consciously and proactively means you’re deciding by default or letting others decide for you. It’s up to you and me to be the leader of our own life – to exercise our power to choose in each and every moment. Keeping in mind how important it is to say positive things to ourselves in order to create new more positive neural pathways lets look at how affirmations can help with this.Heres some tips on how you can get the most out of these:💜 Repeating at least once a day gor a min of 21 days (to maximise 3 months)💜 Saying these out loud in your own voice is really powerful as it allows your subconscious to hear your voice say something positive.💜 Say them with feeling, the more you put into them to more convinced your mind will be.💜 Record yourself saying these and listen to them in the background as you go about your day💜 Get creative and have visual reminders of these round your home/ office or even phone screen saver.💜 Finally why not get the whole family pn board, make it a new tradition or fun gameGive these a go, use wording that works for you, they should be in present test and positive - think more of how you want to be and not what you want to stopE.g. ❌ I will not be negative any more️✅️ I have a positive outlook in all adpects of my lifehttps://lnkd.in/eEfSVnM8

New practice post! 👇@INSPIRE_Psychological_Wellness Thank you for reading, following and sharing 🙏🏼 We can learn to respond to challenging emotions and sensations with curiosity, compassion and acceptance rather than avoidance and a cycle of negative appraisal. Acceptance does not mean we like the experience, want it or approve of it, but rather that these difficult emotions and sensations are here paying a visit regardless of whether they received an invitation; we can fight that presence or meet it with openness so that it loses its power over how we live our lives. #HolisticHealing #MindBodyAwareness #SelfEmpowerment
